Our Commitment

The team at MWS Physio is committed to making our website and digital offerings accessible to all people, regardless of ability, assistive technologies, or individual limitations. We continuously work to improve usability and ensure our website complies with applicable accessibility standards.

What Web Accessibility Means

An accessible website enables all visitors, including people with disabilities, to use content with the same level of ease, efficiency, and enjoyment. Accessibility is achieved through inclusive design, technically conformant implementation, and support for assistive technologies such as screen readers, braille displays, and voice control.

Standards and Guidelines

Our website follows the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 and aims for Level AA conformance, the standard recommended by leading Swiss healthcare providers. These guidelines cover four principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust.

Implemented Measures

To improve accessibility, we have implemented the following measures:

  • Clear structure: consistent heading hierarchy (H1–H3) and logical content order

  • Alternative text: meaningful alt text for all relevant images and graphics

  • Contrast & colors: color scheme with sufficient contrast according to WCAG 2.1 AA

  • Keyboard navigation: full operability of all features without a mouse

  • Forms: labels, error messages, and help text optimized for screen readers

  • Media content: captions for videos, transcripts for audio content, reduced animations

  • Language: primary language of the website defined in the code

  • Responsive design: optimized display for desktop, tablet, and smartphone

  • ARIA attributes: use of WAI‑ARIA roles and labels to better support assistive technologies

  • Accessibility testing: regular checks with automated tools and manual tests, including screen readers

  • Skip links: direct jump links to main content for keyboard users

Limitations

Some content may originate from third parties (for example embedded maps, videos, or booking systems). We cannot guarantee full accessibility for these third‑party elements but strive to provide accessible alternatives where possible.

Physical Accessibility of Our Practice

Our premises are equipped as follows:

  • Accessible entrance: lift available

  • Parking: parking space directly in front of the entrance

  • Public transport: bus stop in close proximity

  • Interior spaces: wide doors and wheelchair‑friendly circulation space

  • Sanitary facilities: wheelchair‑accessible toilet

  • Additional aids: mobile ramp, height‑adjustable therapy couches, visual and auditory signals

  • Assistance: personal support from our team upon request

Continuous Improvement

Accessibility is an ongoing process. We conduct regular internal audits, train our staff, and update the website to reflect new standards, technologies, and user needs.
